For Ryan, being a trial lawyer is not a job; it’s a blessing and an honor that has seen Ryan consistently try cases that result in multi-million dollar verdicts. As a lifelong resident of Texas, born in Spur (near Lubbock) and raised in Houston, he possesses a strong sense of small-town values coupled with big-city experience. After completing his undergraduate education at Baylor University and obtaining his law degree from South Texas College of Law, Ryan quickly established his reputation as an Assistant District Attorney for the State of Texas. During his time as a prosecutor, Ryan tried numerous trials to verdict aggressively, and with an unyielding passion for doing what were right and holding people accountable for their wrongful actions.

Ryan’s extensive trial experience is best demonstrated by Ryan’s trying more than 50 jury trials to verdict. Those jury trials have earned Ryan the reputation of a trial lawyer who consistently obtains favorable results. Ryan’s reputation both in the courtroom and during negotiations speaks for itself.

During the last few years, Ryan has helped to obtain more than 100 settlements and verdicts of greater than $1 million. His hard work has resulted in unprecedented settlements including a $97 million for refinery workers injured in a fire, $72 million for a single worker who suffered catastrophic injuries while working for his employer, $67 million for a single worker injured on a land rig, $45 million for an injured worker who was injured by a falling object, $25.5 million for a single worker involved in a fall from a cellular tower, $17.5 million for another injured client who fell from a basket crane, $16 million for a family who lost their child during a drowning incident, $12 million for a worker who was injured during a vehicular collision, $10.175 million for a family whose loved one was killed during crane operations and many other multi-million dollar settlements for clients who were injured in offshore and oilfield disasters, as well as clients who needed him to hold trucking companies accountable. Whether it’s handling complicated product liability cases, premises liability cases, trucking collisions, offshore disasters, defective pharmaceutical drug litigation, or the many other areas that Ryan has tackled, Ryan has a proven track record of obtaining exceptional value for his cases.

Ryan’s success is recognized by his peers and those that oppose him. Following a two-week jury trial that ended in a favorable settlement prior to verdict, the opposing counsel emailed Ryan stating, “you were a very worthy adversary.” Ryan is also frequently referred new clients by defense attorneys who have opposed him in trials and cases that were resolved through settlement. He has consistently been asked by other lawyers to try their cases. During the last several years, Ryan has proudly secured multi-million dollar verdicts for families who desperately needed justice.

As a result of his track record in the courtroom, Ryan was recently honored by local organizations through his peers’ identification of him as a top trial attorney in Houston and he has consistently been recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 Attorney by The National Trial Lawyers and a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. Ryan is also a lifetime member of both the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates forum as a result of securing multi-million dollar verdicts through trial. Ryan is also a proud member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.

Because of his ability to obtain incredible results across the country, Ryan has been featured on major media outlets including CNN, NBC, ABC, Houston Chronicle, Texas Monthly, Austin Statesman, and all the major local news television stations in the Houston area.

Ryan is married and has two children. Ryan is an active member of St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Houston and is involved in various other organizations in the Houston area.
