Actos Bladder Cancer

ACTOS® Bladder Cancer Lawsuits in the U.S.

What is Actos?

Actos® (pioglitazone) is an oral diabetes medication that is made by Takeda Pharmaceutical Company and then co-marketed in the United States by Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals. The purpose of Actos® is to control Type-2 diabetes by lowering blood glucose levels while increasing the patient's sensitivity to insulin. It can either be prescribed on its own or combined with other ingredients.

What are the risks associated with Actos?

In June of 2011, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that the use of Actos® for longer than a year may be associated with a higher chance of bladder cancer. Speak with our Houston ACTOS bladder cander lawyer if you are pursuing legal action against the manufacturer of Actos.

  • Blood in the urine
  • Frequent urination
  • Need to urinate with no results
  • Pain while urinating
