Robert Barringer
About
Robert J. Barringer graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering. He was inducted to the National Engineering Honor Society known as Tau Beta Pi. After graduation, he apprenticed as an Engineer for several years with the Texas Department of Transportation. He was part of the special design unit that was involved in fast tracked projects including the 2 year - 200 Million Dollar Interstate Highway 35-Bergstrom Airport Interchange in Austin, Texas.
After receiving his law degree from South Texas College of Law, Mr. Barringer began his legal career with Thomas N. Thurlow & Associates, wherein he concentrated on pharmaceutical litigation involving Fen-Phen. Since his beginning, he has represented numerous clients in their handling of pharmaceutical claims, including Avandia, Actos, Gadolinium, Baycol, PPA, Vioxx, Seroquel, Risperdal just to name a few. He has worked on various dockets with Mr. Webster since 2005.
Mr. Barringer’s engineering background provides a unique perspective not commonly found in other Trial Attorneys when dealing with cases involving pharmaceutical litigation, defect drug cases, automobile and 18 wheeler truck collisions, medical malpractice claims, product defect and liability cases, and construction accident and injury cases.
Mr. Barringer continues to represent people who have been injured by the negligence of others. He has been involved in a number of high profile cases including the tragic train derailment in Lac Megantic, Quebec. Robert is married and lives in Houston, Texas with his wife and three daughters.
