NFL Medication Litigation Lawyer
Filing a Claim on Behalf of Former NFL Players
The Webster Law Firm ("TWLF") is proud to announce that our personal
injury attorneys in Houston are currently representing over thirty former
National Football League players, and counting, against the NFL for the
long term debilitating effects they have suffered, and will continue to
suffer from, as a result of the medications they were forced to take from
their teams, trainers, and doctors.
TWLF will be filing a lawsuit against the NFL for illegally dispensing
powerful narcotics to players, before, during, and after NFL games, without
any regard to their long-term health. Throughout the years, team physicians
and trainers across the NFL routinely provided painkillers and other controlled
substances, sometimes illegally, to players so they could mask their pains.
Among the narcotics were Percocet, Percodan, Vicodin, Toradol, and Ambien,
to name a few.
Types of Injuries Covered in the Claim
The players have suffered and continue to suffer a range of debilitating
effects as a result of the drugs. Players have experienced chronic muscle
and bone injuries, severe and permanent nerve damage, organ damage, and
addiction to these narcotics, among other injuries. Players have explained
that team doctors and trainers put these drugs in players' "cocktails"
and gave them to players absent the players' request.
Who Is Involved in the Case?
Currently, about 750 former NFL players have already filed suit in the
United States District Court of Northern California. The lawsuit covers
the years of 1968-2008 and can include over a thousand players as the
lawsuit proceeds. Our
Houston injury lawyers will add several more players to this litigation in hopes that the NFL
will right the wrongs they have committed. The Webster Law Firm has also
filed suit concerning
concussion injuries suffered by NFL players.
